Game 3 in Peterborough, Steve Aquino with the highlights.

A fire broke out shortly after 3pm to a building that houses the Hunt Club on First Ave. in North Bay. Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze but extensive damage had already been done. We spoke with Deputy Greg Saunders about the fire.

The town of Mattawa has declared a state of emergency as water levels continue to rise. The town is experiencing what they call minor flooding at the moment but they are preparing for the worse. Community members were bagging sand and building a berm around Sid Turcotte Park. Continue to follow Cogeco News for more updates as they become available.

A transport driver has been charged with carrying an unsecured load on a commercial vehicle after a rock crusher fell off and onto a pick up truck. The rock crusher weighing approximately 16,000 pounds did significant damage to the pick up truck. Emergency crews were on scene and the highway was temporarily shut down while the investigation took place.
