Halton Women's Place offers safe shelter for women and their children who are experiencing violence at home. They aim to make the shelter as comfortable as possible to support women and their children of all ages. Jessica Kaitting spoke with Carm Bozzo who explained how they help kids and teens feel more at home during their stay.

The annual wallet to wealth gala is taking place on Friday, November 14th at the Oakville Conference Centre. Proceeds from the event go to Halton Women's Place. Jason Agnew chatted with founder Whitney Hammond about the theme of this year's event but first start with a refresh of what Wallet to Wealth is.

One of the characters from a popular television sit-com, in the late 1970s and early 80s, is making a bit of a comeback – all for a good cause. "Three's company" featured two gals and one guy all sharing an apartment with each episode focusing on some aspect of the humorous and difficult parts of daily life. The landlords would occasionally stick their nose in – curious about this living arrangement. It's one of those characters who has been spun-off into the core theme of a party trend for a group of friends in Burlington.

Today, is part two of Jason Agnew's conversation with MP Acan but diving into a couple hot button issues here in Halton. One being the automobile sector, and in particular the modification of the ev-mandate... now before we air this we do want to say this interview was taped previous to the current situation happening in Brampton at the Stelantis plant. But before we get these, Jason Agnew ask Sima Acan about her thoughts on the much discussed topic of bail reform.

A small lake in our own backyard is sharing its story to a new and larger audience. The research completed by scientists over the last 50-plus years at Crawford Lake is the centre of attention in a new exhibition at the Royal Ontario Museum. The 2025 Canadian Federal Election saw redrawn boundaries for ridings in the Town of Oakville, and with the departure of MP Pam Damoff that cleared the way for a new representative for the Liberal Party to attempt to gain MP status. That is indeed what happened for first time candidate Sima Acan. Acan is now representing the new Oakville-West riding and Jason Agnew got the chance to get to know the new MP a few days ago and asked what she was doing before shifting to a career in politics.
