Zee Hamid - PC - Milton
Zee Hamid is the PC Candidate for Milton. A former three-term elected councillor, Zee has spent a better part of his adult life working to make Milton a better place to live, work and raise a family. He continues to live in Milton with his wife and six children. Before politics, Zee had a successful technology career working with major companies like Microsoft and Amazon. He last worked at a local tech company as a Vice President of Engineering. Passionate about serving his community beyond politics, Zee has volunteered his time for local organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton, Milton Public Library, and Milton Economic Development. He has also served on the boards of Halton Healthcare and Conservation Halton. Through his efforts, he has also raised over $80,000 in Milton for mental health support.
Simone Kent - NDP - Wellington/Halton Hills
Simone Kent grew up in Etobicoke before moving to Ottawa to earn a degree in Chemical Engineering. There, she met her husband and together they moved back to Wellington County to take over the family farm and raise their family. Simone became actively involved in local and provincial dairy clubs, as well as community events. Simone has also served on the Environmental Committee for the Township of Centre Wellington, acted as a union representative, and has always been drawn to community service and politics.

It was a pretty full weekend of news considering a double-snowstorm, the Four Nations cup, Saturday Night Live's 50th anniversary, Vladimir Guerrero and the Toronto Blue Jays, and a plane crash at Pearson Airport. Many of you may have missed the fact that the provincial leaders had a debate on Monday night... and since we're just over a week away from heading to the polls, we're going to get you caught up. Jason Agnew chatted with host of the O-show Podcast and Hamilton based political pundit Laura Babcock to get her thoughts on Monday night's provincial leaders debate.
Links2Care's Coldest Night of the Year Event
Serving nearly 7-thousand individuals across Halton region, Links2Care provides aid for those who are falling through the cracks in our social services. It could include anything from someone who doesn't qualify for funding to get a hearing aid to those who are facing chronic homelessness. Many of the services they provide are funded by the donations received at the annual coldest night of the year event – which takes place this Saturday
