After two rounds of voting, and over four thousand votes spread over a year, the Town of Halton Hills has chosen their official bird. Videographer Craig McNicoll was at a special event where the winning bird was announced.

E-scooters are technically not permitted in the City of Burlington. Jason Agnew read that fact and questioned it, so to make sure he read it correctly he looked to the Mayor of Burlington Marianne Meed Ward for confirmation.

Halton Women's Place offers safe shelter for women and their children who are experiencing violence at home. They aim to make the shelter as comfortable as possible to support women and their children of all ages. Jessica Kaitting spoke with Carm Bozzo who explained how they help kids and teens feel more at home during their stay.

The annual wallet to wealth gala is taking place on Friday, November 14th at the Oakville Conference Centre. Proceeds from the event go to Halton Women's Place. Jason Agnew chatted with founder Whitney Hammond about the theme of this year's event but first start with a refresh of what Wallet to Wealth is.

One of the characters from a popular television sit-com, in the late 1970s and early 80s, is making a bit of a comeback – all for a good cause. "Three's company" featured two gals and one guy all sharing an apartment with each episode focusing on some aspect of the humorous and difficult parts of daily life. The landlords would occasionally stick their nose in – curious about this living arrangement. It's one of those characters who has been spun-off into the core theme of a party trend for a group of friends in Burlington.

It's not just ghosts and goblins haunting Milton this October -- it's glowing pumpkins too. For the seventh year, "pumpkins after dark" is lighting up the hills just west of Toronto. It's part art show, part halloween spectacle, and it's drawing families from across the region. Here's D Glazebrook with a look at the event that runs nightly until November 1st.

A small lake in our own backyard is sharing its story to a new and larger audience. The research completed by scientists over the last 50-plus years at Crawford Lake is the centre of attention in a new exhibition at the Royal Ontario Museum. The story that research tells, however, dates back much further – over 700 years further. It's already garnering  substantial attention with more than three thousand visitors on its first weekend.
