Halton Hills is ready to get rolling this summer. The annual bike swap was the place to be if you wanted to donate and purchase a new ride. Even the wet weather couldn't keep the crowds away. Milton Sports Celebrity Dinner
Professional athletes from the NHL, MLB, CFL, horse racing and the Olympics were all in attendance at the Milton sports celebrity dinner. It's an event with a purpose, in addition to being a lot of fun. The goal is to raise money for scholarships that help Milton high school students make post-secondary education a possibility. Safe Haven
It's an epidemic in Halton region. Intimate partner violence was labeled by regional council as well as local councils in Milton, Halton Hills, Oakville, and Burlington last year. Recently, an event called "Safe Haven" was held to discuss the problem and hear from survivors/ It is by openly discussing this topic that Halton Women's Place hopes to be able to help people that are still suffering in silence. Wellspring Supports Children and Parents
The Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation offers a wide selection of programs and services free of charge to anyone with cancer. Nikki Wesley went to find out more about a program in Oakville that helps the whole family when there is a cancer diagnosis.
