Community Messages

Ontario’s largest dog sled racing event comes to “Ontario’s biggest little town” every year. Kearney is a quaint community of 800 people, located just north of Huntsville, Ontario. We are located within the Robinson-Huron and Williams Treaty lands inhabited by indigenous peoples since the beginning, and acknowledge the legacy of stewardship over these lands that indigenous peoples have had.

Join us for two days of winter fun just 2.5 hours north of Toronto in Kearney Ontario on the western border of Algonquin Park.

For anyone that has never raced at Kearney, the race courses feature challenging hills to climb, hardwood bush, lakes and marshes to enjoy while racing through the natural beauty of the Almaguin Highlands. The trail poses many challenges in it's technical, yet exhilarating sections for our racers and their dogs to enjoy.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Please note that all start times are subject to change by our race marshal and the race committee. The final schedule will be determined and confirmed at the earliest possible opportunity. Sunday start times are determined on race weekend after race results are posted.

7:45 am – Private Mandatory Mushers Meeting
8:30 am - Opening Ceremonies/ Bib Draw
9:30 am - 8 dog sled
10:45 am - 6 dog sled
12:00 pm - I-Kid-Arod – Lunch (Groom)
12:30 pm - 2 dog ski
1:30 pm- 4 dog sled (Groom)
3:30 pm - 1 dog ski
4:15 pm - 2 dog sled
5:30pm - Pints and Prizes! - MR Jutzi Musher's Prize Draw at the Legion
