Flag raisings are an important way for municipalities to show support for organizations or causes locally and on a wider scale. But, this week, one organization is using it's opportunity to meet with municipal leaders to raise a flag and continue to garner support for a pivotal service it's providing to the Muskoka community at large. 

Joe Middlebrook is a familiar face in Bracebridge, but he may tell you his true community connection comes from his work at Boston Pizza in the community. Cogeco News spoke to Joe and the people who work with him about his passion for working and how Community Living South Muskoka has supported his goals.

After multiple collisions and a full highway closure on Highway 11 yesterday, the OPP is providing some safety messaging to make sure you're not getting in a collision when the bad weather hits hard.

January is the month of fundraising for the OPSCA and the Muskoka Animal Centre is hoping locals will pitch in by making and selling cupcakes. 

The Near North District School Board has terminated a contract with the current builder of the new Mega School in Parry Sound. The province is still promising the school will be finished in September. Cogeco News spoke with a local parents group about their thoughts on this.
