We are thrilled to express our sincere gratitude to The Brigadier General G.H. Ralston Royal Canadian Port Hope Legion and the Port Hope Legion Bingo Committee for their generous donation and unwavering support towards Community Care Northumberland's (CCN's) Nutrition Program, encompassing Meals On Wheels and Community Diner's initiatives.
Our HOT Meals On Wheels Program, delivered by dedicated volunteers during lunch hours (11:15 to 12:30), ensures that our clients receive affordable, tasty, and nutritious meals tailored to meet their dietary needs, all for the cost of $9 per meal.
Additionally, our FROZEN Meals On Wheels Program, made possible through the support of Apetito, offers clients a convenient way to have nutritional meals ready for preparation at their convenience. Prices range from $7 for the main entrée to $3 for soup/dessert and breakfast snacks.
The substantial contribution from the Port Hope Legion has significantly benefited CCN. Their generosity has facilitated the purchase of insulated bags and carts, and provided subsidies for some of our Meals on Wheels clients. Furthermore, the Legion's support extends to our Community Diners, where they generously provide space for our lunches.
A special thanks to President David Boerrichter, Colleen Labrosse, Pat Underwood, Deb Switzer, and Michelle Stanley for their invaluable contributions.
