Community Event - Burlington/Oakville - CCF Awareness Walk May 3, 12-3 Burlington Centre

Event Highlights

1 km Awareness Walk: Choose indoor or outdoor routes led by pace leaders, with brief stops to share facts and stories about Atypical Parkinsonism.

Inspiring Speaker: Hear a keynote address (1:30PM), Tim Brown, followed by a Q&A session (2:00PM).

Entertainment: Enjoy entertainment starting at 1:00 PM, a kids’ zone, and a thrilling raffle draw at 2:45 PM.

Community Fun: Explore vendor booths, grab a snack, and connect with others in a teal-themed atmosphere.


Event Schedule

12:00 PM – Pre-Walk Social: Check in at The Hub, pick up wristbands and maps, and join a light stretch or Awareness BINGO.

12:05 PM – Welcome Speech: Learn the purpose of the walk and hear thanks to our sponsors.

12:30 PM – 1 km Walk: A short, impactful journey to shine a light on Atypical Parkinsonism.

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Post-Walk Social: Speaker, entertainment, kids’ activities, vendor booths, and a raffle to close the day.

 

Location: The Hub at Burlington Centre, with outdoor events in the Hudson Bay Parking Lot (Fairview St), Burlington, Ontario. Rain or shine!

We're marking National Fiddling Day – well really the day before with a lively, music-filled gathering, and you're invited!
