Meet a Beekeeper – November 19th, 2019 – Athol Town Hall
Bees voted to be the most important living beings on earth! Elis Ziegler, County beekeeper and member of the Quinte Beekeeper’s Association, will talk about the bee life cycle, beekeeping as a hobby, products which come from beekeeping plus sample some honey. All 60+ are welcome, bring your questions, refreshments will be provided. This free presentation will be held on Tuesday, November 19, from 2:00 to 3:00pm at Athol Town Hall located at 1685 County Road 10 in Cherry Valley. Winter is coming… and so is the Belleville Public Library’s Game of Thrones Trivia Night! On Thurs. Nov. 28, come with a team of 2-5 people to answer trivia questions from the Game of Thrones television and books series. Win awesome prizes and eat delicious snacks! The County Seniors Centre has made arrangements for the Prince Edward Family Health Team to hold a free presentation on the Importance of Blood Pressure on Heart Health followed by a blood pressure clinic on Wednesday, November 6th at the Picton Town Hall located at 2 Ross Street in Picton starting at 12:30pm. High blood pressure is a dangerous condition in adults that is a major risk factor for heart attack and stroke. Blood Pressure Clinics enable you to have your blood pressure checked by a professional nurse. This drop in clinic will start at 1:00 and end at 3:00pm. This talk and clinic will follow the Seniors Lunch & Learn being held at noon; cost for the lunch is $10.00. Call to register for the lunch by noon November 5th.
