Sponsored by The Butcher Shop Inc., the St. Vincent de Paul Society is presenting a BBQ & Bake Sale on Saturday, August 3, at 595 Stewart Blvd, Brockville, from 11 am to 2 p.m. All proceeds goes towards their Weekender's Program to feed elementary school (JK-6) children on weekends, as they do not have enough food.

Come to enjoy Octoberfest Sausages, Hot Dogs, baked goods, soft drinks or water.

Donations appreciated - tax receipt given for $20 or more

...Let's seek some attention, all you art lovers ;)

Featuring openings at ARTspace and the Thames Art Gallery, and downtown businesses animated by local art, artists, and artful experiences, join us July 26th as the downtown comes alive and we parade ART around our charming and historic Chatham.

The details:
Who: ARTspace, Thames Art Gallery, any participating business, and lots of your favourite local artists
What: A FREE evening of Art and Culture spread throughout the downtown core
Where: Downtown Chatham - event map coming soon!
When: July 26th, 5-10pm

How to participate:

1. Pick out an amazing, colourful, and Parade worthy outfit!
2. Clear your schedule July 26th, grab some friends, and crawl to downtown Chatham
3. Choose your own ARTventure! Pick up a mapped guide at ARTspace, the Thames Art Gallery, or any participating business and wander your way through the evening.
4. The Crawl is free, so you can save your pennies and shop our downtown businesses, some of whom will be staying open until 8pm!
5. Did we say dress up in a parade worthy outfit?!

The Erie St. Clair LHIN Self-Management program is now offering health care providers, including physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists and other members of the inter-professional team an opportunity to become a Faculty Member with the Institute for Healthcare Communication's Choices & Changes program. 

Benefits of becoming a faculty member: 

  • Facilitate workshops providing clinicians with conceptual models for effective clinician-patient communication and facilitation of patient health behavior change for optimal self-management
  • Course facilitated by highly trained IHC certified faculty staff

Diabetes, Healthy Feet & You is a 2.5 hour self-management program that is empowering people who are living with diabetes to adopt self-management behaviours helping them prevent diabetes related foot complications. If you are a person living with diabetes or you have experienced a diabetic foot sore or neuropathy, we are looking for you to become a DHFY Peer Leader. 

What is the Peer Leader Role?

You lived it! You are well-informed when it comes to living with Diabetes. So, why not share your knowledge with your community? Becoming a Peer Leader is simple, we are here to train you and support you. You won't be doing this all alone. A health-care professional will co-facilitate 2.5 hour workshops with you.
