‘Mother’s Day Weekend’ - Exhibition & Sale of Local Artwork & Crafts

Date of Event: Friday, May 12, Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14, 2023

Time: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Daily

Official Opening Ceremonies: Friday, May 12, 6:00 pm

Location: The Mount Community Centre – Austin Doran Hall, 1545 Monaghan Road, Peterborough

Come join us for the 7th annual ‘Get Your Art On,’ exhibition and sale of local arts and crafts in the vibrant, beautiful, centrally located Austin Doran Hall at The Mount Community Centre.

Numerous artists and crafts people! Hundreds of pieces! Paintings, photography, pottery, sculpturing, woodworking to anything you can imagine will be on display and for sale.

“There are a numerous artists and crafts people coming to display and sell their works,” says Hartley Stephenson, local artist and event organizer. “The items are unique and specially designed to please the buyer. Attendees are bound to find something that will interest them and be a perfect gift for Mother’s day celebrations.”

Free Admission and 10% of all profits from the event will go to The Mount Community Centre’s ongoing commitment to providing affordable housing and food security.

Renfrew Legion murder mystery night, “Death by Chocolate”! Murder is on the menu and everyone's a suspect! Only you can figure out who took their sweet revenge on poor Billy Bonka. There are limited number of tickets available, $25/person. Cocktails at 5pm, with a spaghetti dinner at 6pm. Join us for a spaghetti dinner and a hilarious who-done-it! Ticket available at the Legion (in the office and in the Lounge).  Branch Fundraiser for Furnace fund.

Please join "New Climate Stories" and other local climate organizations on Earth Day April 22nd, from 1pm to 4pm, at Skeleton (McBurney) Park in Kingston.

Everyone is Welcome!

We use art to celebrate the planet we love. There will be Music and nature therapy, take home pollinator garden starter kits, button and poster making, books, games and info booths, bicycle tune-ups, painting,  and BYO t-shirts to decorate.

Spring is in the air and with it the return of Spring ARTISANity 2023.

If you are looking for gifts for:  Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, a special Graduation, a Wedding or just a treat for yourself, this Show and Sale is the place to be.

Artisanity will be taking place Friday April 28 from noon to 8 pm, and Saturday April 29, from 9 am to 3 pm, on the lower level of Peterborough Square, across from the Artisans Centre and, as usual, will feature the beautiful, hand-crafted works of local Artisans.  Fibre Arts, Gourd Arts, Woodturning, Pottery, and Jewelry will all be available.

One hour free parking on Friday, April 28 and all day free parking on Saturday, April 29.
