Saturday, September 17th @ 6:30PM, Renfrew Public Library 

We'll be turning the library into a movie theatre after hours on Saturday, September 17th for this special event! "The more welcoming communities are, the more newcomers feel at home and contribute locally!" We will be watching, 'Peace by Chocolate' - a story of Tareq Hadhad and his family's journey to Canada. Post film, Daryna will share her experiences of displacement from Ukraine.

To recognize the second annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, St. Matthews Anglican Church (126 Plains Road East in Burlington) is hosting a workshop on September 30, 2022 featuring a traditional welcome, THE BLANKET EXERCISE led by Archdeacon Val Kerr, smudging and a debriefing.  Everyone is welcome to attend this FREE event which starts at 10 a.m. and will finish at 12:30 p.m.  You may bring your own blanket to be included as your personal recollection of this day.  Bring your own drinking container.  Water and muffins will be supplied.  PRE-REGISTRATION is required on either Facebook (www.facebook.com/AldershotAnglican) OR by email:  office@stmatthewburlington.ca OR by phone message at 905-632-1233.
