Community Event - Kingston - Motorcycle Ride for Dad - Kingston-Quinte Chapter

Established in 2004, the Kingston-Quite Motorcycle Ride for Dad has raised over $1.5 million dollars for the fight against prostate cancer. The proceeds from our annual events are invested in ground-breaking prostate cancer research and life-saving public awareness campaigns of the disease and the importance of early detection.

Residents of Windsor and Essex County are invited to bring their used, old, broken, and unwanted electronics and aluminum beverage cans to Monseigneur Augustin Caron (MAC) School. Residents can drop off items such as computers/laptops, VCRs, DVD players, printer/fax machines, video games, cell phones, radios, TVs, microwaves, toasters, curling irons, hair dryers, electric toothbrushes, etc (essentially, anything with a plug will be accepted).

The following items will not be accepted:

  • CDs, DVDs, VHS Tapes, Floppies or cases
  • Glass –blender cups, coffee glass, light bulbs in lamps.
  • Lithium batteries
  • Fridges, air conditioners (i.e., nothing with Freon)
  • Laundry appliances
  • Stoves

The events will take place Saturday, April 15th and 22nd, 2023, from 9:00am to 4:00pm on both days.

Students are please to invite you to our zoom lunch and learn, A Gateway to Palliative Care.

As part of our ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the importance of volunteers in our community, the Near North
Palliative Care Network has teamed up with the Nipissing University nursing students to run a lunch and learn about
what we can all do to help in our community. There will be a virtual presentation on Monday March 13 th at 12 noon.

The Near North Palliative Care Network's continuing mission of serving our community through Grief and
Bereavement Support Services, Palliative Support Services, Caregiver Respite, and Adult Day Programs are all
made possible from the help of their volunteers.
Come join us and hear from some experts in our community on palliative care and why it is so important to a
