Join the Canadian Caribbean Association of Halton (CCAH) as they celebrate their 2023 theme “Connecting Communities”. This year’s event includes a keynote speech by Diana Cooper-Clarke, who will review the fascinating history of Jamaica’s important role in sheltering Jews during WW2, as well as musical performances by Arlene Duncan, Miriam Lee, and the Oakville Choral Society!
Prior to the show, there will be a 30-minute reception featuring the sounds of the CCAH Steelpan Band. Don’t miss this great opportunity to connect with your community and enjoy free Caribbean finger foods and refreshments. Local Black artists will also be on hand to discuss their exhibits.
Open to people aged 16 years and older. Focus on learning to regulate emotions through structured group discussion. The facilitator will review strategies for coping with anger, shame, anxiety, sadness as well as other emotions.
