Community Event - Niagara - Walk a Mile in HER Shoes Returns Sat. Oct. 19th!
Join us for the 18th annual Walk a Mile in HER Shoes event on Saturday, October 19th at the Pen Centre. We invite Niagara's men and male-identifying allies to march to end violence against women this October. Friends, family, and cheerleaders can join to help make an inspiring impact at this family-friendly event that includes face painting, live entertainment, breakfast and a photo booth! Community Event - Quinte - Dog Days Summer Camp - Aug 12-16
Together we’ll meet different animals, learn about their care, and have the opportunity for hands-on interactions. Learn about gardening and animal-safe plants and help harvest plants to feed our small animals. We’ll create animal enrichment items and crafts, explore nature, decode animal behaviour and much more! Camp runs from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm with a 15-minutes drop off and pick up window (8:30 am-4:00 pm) at HSHPE’s new shelter at 34 Wallbridge-Loyalist Road. Extended hours available until 4:30 pm (additional $15/day).

Join us Sat. July 27, 2024 at Joe's No Frills, 211 Bell Blvd., from 10-2.
Help aninmals in need at the shelter by filling the van with much needed items for the shelter, including:
• pate cat food
• Kitten, puppy & dog kibble
• non-clumping litter
• Zip-lock bags
• liquid laundry detergent
• sponges • paper towels
• heavy-duty garbage bags
• Dawn dish soap

Each walk will be 3 hours in length & include a special forest tea and a light snack.
