Gallery in the Grove opens Fibre & Fabric Fusions on Saturday, March 30th. Opening reception is 11am-2pm with the artists in attendance. Patti Cook displays her wool and fabric artwork in the West Gallery and The Fibre Arts Collective - Simone Vojvodin, Cheryl Laakes, Karen Rutledge, and Cydna Kay display their wool, fabric and rug hooking artwork in the East Gallery. The Kawartha String Orchestra (KSO) is pleased to present their annual spring concert on Sunday May 5 starting at 2pm at Emmanuel United Church (534 George St N, Peterborough). 

The theme of this year's spring concert is "Innovation and Tradition". Award-winning conductor and music director Tak Kwan and the KSO will play selections from Mozart, Elgar, BanYa, as well as the movie music of Hans Zimmer. Guest soloists include Tak Kwan (violin), Rebecca Birrell (vocals), Pamela Haskell (flute), Ron Kervin (percussion), and Karen Locklin (keyboard).

Admission is free; donations to YES Shelter for Youth and Families are gratefully accepted.
