The Annual General Meeting of the Literacy Council of Niagara West/Adult Learning Centre will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 2:00pm, at 4271 Queen Street, Beamsville.  Following the meeting refreshments will be served.  Everyone is welcome.

Nominations to the Board of Directors will be accepted up until August 10, 2018 at noon.

The Mysterious Manor: Over 200 years of Ghostly Happenings.

Come along with us as we uncover the real paranormal activity which has been reported and recorded in our 230 year old Manor House. Our forty minute tour will wind throughout the home, where you will hear peculiar- and inexplicable- tales from the home's past, and if we're lucky, we might even meet a ghost or two along the way. 

There will be refreshments to follow, as well as a Halloween souvenir for you to bring home. This is our third year conducting scripted Ghost Tours, since the first two were so well received. We hope to provide some equally entertaining nights again this year!

October 19, 20, 26 & 27. As usual, we are doing four nights of Ghost Tours.

Entertainment for both children and adults plus agricultural displays and competitions and the always popular midway offered by Carter Shows. Belleville Public Library is pleased to announce that award-winning mystery writer Gail Bowen will be giving a book talk and reading on Wed. Sept. 5 at 6 pm. Ms. Bowen is the author of the wildly popular Joanne Kilbourn series, and the winner of multiple awards for this series including the Derrick Murdoch Award from the Crime Writers of Canada. She has also been recognized with the Crime Writers of Canada Grand Master Award. She will be speaking about her newest release, A Darkness of the Heart, and selling and signing books. Ms. Bowen’s talk is free and requires no registration.
