High school and post-secondary can get overwhelming, hear from families living with disabilities who’ve been there.

Does your student live with a disability? And is he or she heading into high school or in high school now?  Come out and listen to families from Windsor-Essex share their stories, and pick up some tips and resources to help you with the process.

Join us Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM for a free learning event. Location:  Atonement Family Centre, 2940 Forest Glade Drive, Windsor. Community Event - Kingston - A Cappella Workshop for Young Women 8 - 18, Nov 10

Celebrating young singers' interest in a cappella singing, this all-day event welcomes girls ages 8 through 18 for a day of singing FUN that includes:

• Learning a four-part harmony a cappella song

• Sheet music and learning tracks

• Vocal skills instruction from a skilled a cappella clinician

• Showmanship instruction, including some fun choreography

• Lunch and a special event T-shirt

• A performance opportunity at the end of the day for a live audience of singers
• A registration fee of only $20 (deadline 10/25/18

Community Event - Chatham - Housing Support Services Fair (Lunch Provided)

The Chatham Kent Public Library, Chatham Branch, will be showcasing a number of local community services offering housing supports. Neighbourlink, Salvation Army, United Way, Loads of Love, Hope Housing, Community Relations Workers and Rapid Rehousing Workers will all be present. Free sandwiches and refreshments will also be provided to those who come out! We look forward to seeing you. Oct 18th, 11am.
