Fuel 4 You and Chatham Kent Through Our Lenses will be hosting a vendor show at 34 Byng Ave Chatham. April 7th from 11 am til 4 pm. $2 admittance. There will be raffles draws from each vendor in attendance. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5, you do not need to be present for the draws. Winners will be notified within 5 business days by the phone # provided. All proceeds from raffles and admittance will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society of Chatham Kent. They will also be in attendance.

Community Event - Cobourg/Port Hope - Cobourg’s Gilded Age Summer Colony

Rob Mikel, Cobourg's award winning premier historian, will give an illustrated talk on Cobourg’s Gilded Age: Summer Colony and Grand Cottages.  To an earlier generation Cobourg was something more than a pretty little lakeside town, it was the destination of choice for throngs of prosperous Americans, who called their adopted town “the Newport of the North”.  The presentation will be illustrated with photos, past and present, of the grand hotels and mansions.  Presented by Victoria Hall Volunteers the event will be held on Thursday April 5th in the Concert Hall, Victoria Hall, Cobourg.  Doors open at 6:45 pm, the lecture begins at 7:30.  No reserved seating.  Tickets are $20 (plus handling and HST) which includes the presentation and refreshments.   Call the Concert Hall Box Office, 905-372-2210 or purchase on-line www.concerthallatvictoriahall.com  Additional information call 905-342-2467.
