Joy Kogawa, a decorated Canadian author, will be guest speaker on May 9, 2018 at the Canadian Federation of University Women – Northumberland’s scholarship fundraising luncheon. Kogawa will be talking about her spiritual journey that is personal and communal and will read excerpts from her latest memoir, Gently to Nagasaki. 5KM/10KM WALK-A-THON FUNDRAISER. 

The City of Quinte West invites you to celebrate winter at the 12th Annual Frostfest, taking place Saturday, February 10th, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Batawa Community Centre.  There will be live entertainment, children’s activities, ice demonstrations, a petting zoo and so much more for families and kids alike. Batawa Ski Hill staff will also be onsite handing out $5 coupons towards lift tickets for Saturday night.
