Volunteering is an excellent way to give back to your community, make a difference, socialize and it will even provide you with proven mental and physical health benefits! Since the pandemic, local organizations need volunteers more than ever before, in a variety of roles that can capitalize on your individual passion, skills and experience! If you would like to learn about volunteering in Kingston, please join us virtually on April 15th from 12-1pm to hear from a variety of organizations who are actively recruiting volunteers! Community Event - Kingston - Child Haven Fundraiser Dinner, Apr 27, 6:00pm

Child Haven Dinner Event Join us for an evening of food, dance and stories at the Royal Kingston Curling Club on April 27th at 6pm. Browse our bazaar featuring handicrafts from Nepal before being seated for a delicious Indian meal, served to your table. Our guest speaker, Ganesh Kumar, will share stories of his experience at Child Haven’s Tamid Nadu home. The evening will wrap up with an auction of handicrafts and a chance to try some Bollywood dancing. This is a fundraiser for Child Haven International, which assists children and women in developing countries, who need shelter, food, education, healthcare, and emotional support. Tickets are $40 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. They are available at Novel Idea and at childhaven.ca

Join us for "Learn New Card Games", where you'll learn to play games like German Solo, Whist, and Canasta! Expand your card-playing skills, socialize, and have fun learning and practicing new card games! 

Pay as you participate: $3 for members, $6 for non-members

 

Membership & activities at The Centre is open to adults ages 30 and up. The Centre is always welcoming new members.
