Prince Edward Community Care holds monthly curbside pick-up of meals. This event is on Thursday, April 18th, 2024, and the pickup location is the Sophiasburg Town Hall, 2771 County Road 5, Demorestville. Chef Bill Grieve of Wheelhouse and Occasions catering is preparing a scrumptious meal. The meal includes homemade soup, a roll, chicken breast stuffed with brie and cranberries, rice, mixed vegetables, and carrot cake for dessert. The cost is $20.00/meal and seniors 60+ can order by calling the Community Care office at 613-476-7493. All meals must be paid for in advance. Meals will be packaged hot and ready to be picked at The Sophiasburg Town Hall. Only those who preorder and pay will be served. To order, or for more information, call 613-476-7493. Chair Zumba is a fun way to stay active while seated!

It combines dance moves with music, promoting flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, & coordination….plus it can help to boost your mood!

No experience needed. Drop in and join us. No need to register in advance. Arrive 10 minutes before the start time to check in with our volunteers at the desk and pay the registration fee.

Instructor: Amy Dalton

Pay as you participate: $3 for members, $6 for non-members/class

Membership & activities at The Centre is open to adults ages 30 and up. The Centre is always welcoming new members.

St. Joseph's Hospice Sarnia Lambton is looking for Direct Support Volunteers. These volunteers would be trained and educated to assist our clinical staff in the care of the residents. They provide their time, support, and compassionate nature directly at the bedside of our residents. The role of Direct Support Volunteers is a task-oriented role. Presented by Caitlin Brydges from the Renfrew County office for Dementia Society. This event is open to the public to come and learn about our brains and how to keep them healthy. Caitlin is an excellent speaker with years of experience supporting clients and families in Renfrew County. Look forward to seeing you there refreshments will be served.

A Celebration of Kingston Composers by the piano trio Accord (Douglas Handforth, viola; Jennifer Tindale, cello; Fran Harkness, piano) with guest artists Andrew Dicker, violin and Dave Barton, guitar, takes place on Friday, April 19th, 5.15 pm. at St. James Anglican Church, 10 Union Street, Kingston. 
Music composed by Dave Barton, David Cameron, Michael Capon, Daniel McConnachie, Marjan Mozetich, John Palmer, and Renata Van Vliet. 

Free admission. Funded by the Musician’s Union Trust Fund.

The Artists of Colour invite you to our Opening night on April 26, at 7 p.m. at Mackenzie Hall and Cultural Centre and The Common Ground Gallery.  Join us for an enjoyable evening of inspirational art, music and photography. Learn about our history through The Stories We Tell. The Hall will be open daily from 10 a.m.until 4p.m. There will be scheduled tours for public school children and we will host a night of poetry and song on May 4. Come and join us. An entry Fee will be charged on Opening night only
