Kyle has been our colour commentator since 2014. When he arrived in Pembroke he was impressed with the level of community support the Pembroke Lumber Kings had. He also has a passion interviewing the players for our special features where we get to know the players individually.

Thursday, June 20 at 6:30-8:30 pm 

Neurographic Art is an abstract art form that anyone can do. All levels welcome.  There is no right or wrong, it’s simply creating for creativity’s sake. Doodle and paint multiple pieces and learn about this relaxing art technique/style.

 

It has also been proven to help create new neuropathways in the brain, hence the name.

Community Event - Cornwall - Child Haven Strawberry Social Fundraiser

Child Haven International is hosting a Strawberry Social fundraiser, Sunday, June 9th, from 2 to 4 at the Benson Centre. Everyone is welcome to come, learn about Child Haven's work since 1985, supporting and educating women and their children experiencing hardships in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Tibet. Guests will be entertained by The Heartstrings Ensemble, nourished by the incomparable Judy Stewart and delighted by the bazaar of exotic Easter goods. Finally, guests will have the opportunity to meet three of the founders of Child Haven: Dr. Nat Shah of Cornwall and Bonnie & Fred Cappuccino of Maxville. The founders have received numerous accolades for their tireless commitment to ensuring access to education for those who might not otherwise have access to it.
