Trivia Quiz Evening

Join us for a fun filled evening of quizzical, confusing conundrums and questions            Friday, October 3, 2025    7-9pm                                 St. Columba Church.                                                   7 St. Columba Drive (off Geneva past Linwell).      St. Catharines

Socialize with other solo diners in a group for lunch at the Mandarin Restaurant St. Catharines on Thursday October 2nd, noon. All adult ages  regardless of marital status are welcomed. Order off the menu or enjoy the buffet. Seniors 65+ with id get 20% off the buffet price. No membership fees or paperwork. Solo Diner is now in its second year. Maybe it's time you check it out. The Patrons of St. Columban Foundation presents a fundraising concert with the St. Joseph’s Catholic Secondary School Choir under the direction of Gilles Levac and the Celtic group Emberwynd at St. Columban's Church on Sunday October 26 at 2 p.m.  Admission is freewill donation.  All are welcome. 

At times, we all experience things in life that feel unfair or simply too much for one single human being to handle. In the back of our mind, we know that accepting rather than rejecting is key, but how exactly should we approach the situation?  What does it truly mean to patiently accept someone or something? During this retreat, we will look at the wisdom of patience together with Buddha’s teachings on karma to help us develop a different, more empowered attitude towards our difficulties that we cannot change. Everyone is welcome! With Buddhist nun and Resident Teacher Gen Chöyang.
