the second annual Ride for DI, taking place on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Westdale Complex in Napanee! This fun and family-friendly cycling event features 30km and 52km routes, a 5km family fun ride, live music, lunch, and more—all in support of Diagnostic Imaging services at LACGH, including MRI, CT, X-ray, and Ultrasound. Proceeds will help update vital equipment and improve access to critical care for our patients. We’d love to see staff out riding, cheering, or volunteering! On SUNDAY MAY 4th, at 2 p.m., join The Brockville Community Choir as Artistic Director Madelyn Mensen and Collaborative Artist Abe TeGrotenhuis take us through This Day [HODIE - Stroope].  

Experience the morning call of SUNRISE [Beckett] and the sweltering heat of a summer’s NOON [ Effinger/Ferril]. Spend a lazy AFTERNOON ON A HILL [Dickau/Millay]. Move towards evening [SURE ON THIS SHINING NIGHT - Barber/Agee] and into the time WHEN MIDNIGHT MISTS ARE CREEPING [Gilpin/Carroll] to contemplate the night sky [NOCHE SERENA - Stroope/Léon]. 

Throughout This Day, familiar scenes of our Great North Land remind us of who we are. From the East Coast - AWAY FROM THE ROLL OF THE SEA [MacGillivray], ride the rails West and back again [PRAIRIE GREYHOUND - Smallman/Johnson]. Prepare for the inevitable storm [HUNKER DOWN - Stokes] and the ensuing calm [SEAL LULLABY - Whitacre/Kipling].

Join BurlingtonGreen and Rotary Club of Burlington Central for a day of eco-learning and eco-action at the Beach on Saturday, May 3rd.

Choose from these activities requiring registration for limited spaces:
🐦Guided bird walk
🌊 Beach Litter Clean-up
🐝 Pollinator-Friendly Nature Walk

And DROP IN anytime 9 am to 2 pm for climate resources and family-friendly eco-fun including button making, spin-the-wheel trivia game and more.

Beach clean up is eligible for student volunteer hours.
