Community Event - Sarnia - Register today for the Sarnia-Lambton Kidney Walk!
The Sarnia-Lambton Kidney Walk will take place on September 24, 2023 starting at 9:00am in Canatara Park under the Seaway Kiwanis Pavilion. The walk will offer two accessible routes (1km & 5km) that will go through the park and lead towards the waterfront in Point Edward, Ontario.
Walkers who have signed up for the event will register in the morning, receive their walk shirt, tackle their route and then come back to a community run BBQ.
At the event we will have speakers covering all avenues of living with Kidney Disease (patients on dialysis, transplant recipients, organ donors etc) and their stories.
Walkers can sign up at www.kidneywalk.ca and search for Sarnia as their walk location.

The monthly Port Dalhousie Lions Club Spaghetti Night returns! Seniors 60+ are invited to get active, make friends, be well! Prince Edward Community Care offers over 50 online events each month for seniors 60+. Online Zoom fitness and arts classes along with socials are held Monday to Friday. In August, the Zoom webinar topics include “2023 Marine Update from the PEC OPP” with Constable Aaron Miller; “How to Stay Safe Online” with Aaron Nash from Prince Edward County Public Library; “Good Food Market-fresh fruits/veggies at a good price” with Scott Whitelock from Prince Edward Learning Centre; and “Virtual Bingo” with Community Care Staff. Community Care now offers a phone only option for these zoom webinars – no computer is needed. KLAWS: Kawartha Lakes Animal Wellness Society is an all volunteer group that strives to make a difference in the lives of abandoned, lost/found and stray animals in the City of Kawartha Lakes and beyond. We are in urgent need of fosters for all age cats and kittens. Having fosters means being able to save lives & being able to be there for those in need. We collect all types of wine, liquor, beer bottles/cans/wine bags ect as an ongoing fundraiser year round and 100% of the funds raised goes directly towards the care of the animals that we assist!
