Community Event - Kingston - Beat Beethoven 2021 - The Virtual Challenge

It’s never been a better time to Beat Beethoven. For the past 25 years, thousands of participants have challenged themselves to finish an 8 km race or a 4 km walk through downtown Kingston before the Kingston Symphony has finished playing 50 minutes of Beethoven’s best music. This year we’re doing things a little differently. In June 2021 the Kingston Symphony Association launches its first virtual race – Beat Beethoven: The Virtual Challenge – in celebration of 25 years of this unique community event. Participants can take to a racetrack of their choosing whether it be a hiking trail, a city street, or a treadmill and once again challenge themselves to beat Beethoven.

For the entire month of June, register to run (or walk) your own route of either 8 km, 4 km or both, and you will receive a Beat Beethoven t-shirt. As a bonus for completing the 8 km distance, you will also receive a new Beat Beethoven medal! Children age 10 years and under can also participate in a 1 km virtual run and receive a Beat Beethoven ribbon. Entry fees are $40 for the 8 km, $30 for the 4 km, and $10 for the 1 km (10 years old and under).

To register online or for more information, please visit www.beatbeethovenkingston.com.
