The Friends of the Peterborough Public Library will hold their Fall Book Sale on Friday, Sept. 27th from 12:00 noon until 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10:00 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be rare books dating from the early 20th century through to the most current bestsellers. Whatevery type of book you're looking for, there's a good chance you'll find it at our Sale. The earlier you come, the better your chances. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Peterborough Public Library for the purchase of books and the funding of special programs. We look forward to seeing you there.

The Park in the City Committee, with the help of community volunteers will be planting 60 native, large caliper trees and 500 pollinator wild flowers at Firemen’s Park on Friday, October 18 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Residents who are interested in participating can register online at www.niagarafalls.ca/pitc.  The event is part of a TD Bank grant that also enabled the committee to have 80 more trees installed at various parks that have recently received new playgrounds.  For more info, please call 905-356-7521 ext.3341 or email jguarasci@niagarafalls.ca.
