Community Event - North Bay - Warriors of Hope Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser
The Warriors of Hope Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Racing Team is pleased to announce they will be hosting their 19th Annual 18-hole, 4-Person Scramble Golf Tournament at Osprey Links Golf Course on Saturday, September 7, 2024, sponsored by Country 90.5 FM CFCH.
Don’t miss your opportunity to enter a team! The entry fee is $135.00 per person, which includes golf cart, greens fee and a delicious chicken and rib BBQ dinner, with prizes awarded to the winning team, closest to the pin and longest putt; in addition, each participant will receive a $25 charitable receipt.

Community Event - Smiths Falls/Perth/North Grenville - Pembroke Horticultural Society 1920’s Picnic
The Pembroke Horticultural Society is celebrating 100 years of growing together. Join us for a 1920’s style Picnic in the Park to be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Pembroke Waterfront Arboretum. Everyone is welcome. Bring your lunch. A Celebration cake and desserts will be available. There will be games for children and adults. You can dress in 1920’s style fashion.

Public Notices/Announcements - Peterborough/Lindsay - The Peterborough Concert Band, at Lang Village
Come and enjoy an old-fashioned corn roast and spirited, live music with the Peterborough Concert Band from 10:30 am to 11:00 am and 11:30 am to12 pm on Sunday, August 18.
Celebrate the heart of the summer harvest season with wagon rides and plenty of fire-cooked corn and demonstrations.
Bring your friends and family and enjoy a visit to the past.
The days’ event runs from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. 
Tickets Adults- $15, Students & Seniors (60+) – $10, Youths 5 to 14 Years of Age – $7, Children Under 5 Years of Age – Free, 
Family Pass (includes 2 Adults and up to 4 Youths) – $40
 
 Please note: Special activities are subject to change due to weather, materials, volunteer availability and unforeseen circumstances. Last admission is 3 pm, but we recommend you give yourself a minimum of 2 hours for your visit. On-site parking is available on a first come first served basis. We look forward to seeing you.
