Join Us for a Magical Evening!
This December, Ascension Dance invites you to step into a world where dance warms the heart and ignites the imagination. Our annual Winter Showcase has been transformed into an enchanting cinematic experience titled "The Lost Candle: A Winter Village Tale."
The Tale Unfolds:
In a quaint, lantern-lit village blanketed in snow, a time-honoured tradition brings the community together. Each winter, villagers perform dance routines that light magical candles, keeping the village warm and joyful. But this year, the magic flickers and fades. The dances have lost their spark, and the village faces a cold, dark winter.
Hope shines when a young villager, moved by the rhythm of her heart, embarks on a quest. She journeys through the village, learning original dance forms from the bakers, lumberjacks, toy makers, gift wrappers and wreath makers. Each step, each turn, each leap rekindles the forgotten magic, lighting up the candles once again. But the celebration is incomplete – a crucial candle is missing, stolen by a magical creature serving a reclusive elf.
What follows is a journey of discovery, unity, and the power of dance. Join our dancers as they venture to retrieve the lost candle and bring light back to their village. Will the elf find his place in the community, and will the final candle glow once more?
Experience the Magic:
Captured beautifully through the lens, our local dancers from all age groups bring this story to life. Their passion, skill, and dedication shine in every scene, creating a heartwarming film that you and your family will treasure.
