Algonquin College and The County of Renfrew made a big announcement this past week as they have set up a PSW program to be offered at Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew, this will give students hands on practical experience and will help fill the need for PSW Workers.

The 2018 edition of the Hike for Hospice raised over $130,000 Dollars for Hospice Renfrew. Along with it, Tim Horton's Renfrew Announced they would be making Hospice Renfrew their recipient of this years Smile Cookie Fundraiser.

Guy Longtin was removed from his position as Fire Chief after a new Town policy was implemented that states any Fire Chief over the age of 60 must retire. Guy Longtin has met with a lawyer to fight the  dismissal.

A Fatal Collision occured on highway 132 just outside of Renfrew which claimed the life of 52 year old Admaston/Bromley Resident Timothy Cram. O.P.P were on site to investigate the cause of the accident.

Hannah and Hannah from the Outdoor Adventure Program at Algonquin College Pembroke have received the COGECO/Lumber Kings Bursary. Congratulations to them and good luck in the future.

Barnet Blvd. in Renfrew is now under construction for the summer months, they will be completing one lane at a time since it is a divided highway. Traffic will now share one side of the road while construction is on going.
