A Message from Warden Debbie Robinson, County of Renfrew

PRH President and CEO Pierre Noel who offers a message of thanks to our staff and physicians, the community, fellow first responders and other essential workers.

The Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre (RC VTAC) has now assessed approximately 1,500 patients since it launched on March 27, 2020. Care is provided 24/7 by a physician, community paramedic and/or nurse practitioner to Renfrew County residents who do not have a family physician or cannot access their family physician.

Today on the program, we get an update from Algonquin College as they move into the new normal of COVID19 and also The Pembroke Fire Department shares how things have changed and programs that are helping our frontline workers.

We talked with the City of Pembroke Fire Chief Dan Herback today. He is giving the public some information on the services they are providing and the changes they have made due to Covid 19..Also, Chief Herback speaks to the recent salute to local first responders and explains the reasons for the Ontario Fire Ban. Firefighters from around the area showed support to those frontline workers during the COVID19 situation Monday, April 13th with a parade of support in front of the Pembroke Regional Hospital also on the program, speaking to children about what the world is going through can be tough, we spoke with a counselor to get tips on connecting with children.

Todays the Renfrew County District School Board is moving to ONLINE learning and we find out how the process has been going and what the Board is hoping to achieve.
