HOOK: A NEW FAMILY MUSICAL at the Marble Arts Centre

07:00 PM — 09:00 PM

December 3rd - 6th, 2025

In the grand British tradition where audiences cheer the hero and boo the villain, Hook shifts the focus of the timeless classic Peter Pan to focus on our anti-hero, the one and only, Captain Hook!

This production will feature flashy musical numbers, outrageous costumes, comedy, magic, mayhem, and of course…you’re part of the show! Come and boo the villain (which is who, exactly?) and cheer the hero, and have a blast of a holiday time with the whole family! We promise you’ll be hooked!

SCREENING: THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER @ The MAC

02:00 PM — 04:00 PM

The third fall Movies at the MAC film...

THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER

Playing Friday, December 12th at 2pm and 7pm!

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (2024) is an American Christmas comedy-drama directed by Dallas Jenkins and based on Barbara Robinson’s beloved 1972 novel. The film stars Judy Greer as Grace Bradley, Pete Holmes as her husband Bob, Molly Belle Wright as their daughter Beth (voiced by Lauren Graham as the adult narrator), and features a standout performance by Beatrice Schneider as Imogene Herdman.

Set in early 1980s small-town America, it follows the chaos that ensues when the notorious Herdman siblings (“the worst kids in the history of the world”) barge into the annual church nativity pageant. Chaos ensues, leading to a heartfelt reckoning of the true meaning of Christmas! Released theatrically by Lionsgate in November 2024, the film was both a critical and box-office success, earning praise for its direction and strong performances.

This is a must-see holiday film - not just for its warm, family-friendly humour, but for how it cleverly subverts expectations...sometimes the most unlikely characters are those who best understand the Christmas story. Judy Greer’s portrayal of a well-meaning but overwhelmed mom discovering real grace, paired with the Herdmans’ raw, authentic curiosity, makes the pageant something truly transformative both on screen and in spirit. It's the perfect way to get ready for the holidays!

Rated PG for thematic material. Learn more about this film's content rating here.

Regular tickets are $13.00 (HST included)
Youth tickets are $6.99 (HST included)

Or purchase tickets as part of a Fall Film Pass for $30 +HST!
