Seniors 60+ are invited to get active, make friends, be well!  Prince Edward Community Care offers over 50 online events each month for seniors 60+. Online Zoom fitness and arts classes along with socials are held Monday to Friday. In June, the Zoom webinar topics include “Loyalist History of The County” with Jessica Chase, Prince Edward County Museum Curator; “Exploring Home Sharing opportunities for seniors in The County” with Anne VanVlack, The County Foundation; “Virtual Bingo” with Community Care staff; “How to use the parking kiosks in Picton” with Jasmin Govier, By-Law Enforcement Officer; and “How to use cell phones and computers” with Adam Cavanaugh, Prince Edward County Library. We are a local Clay Target Trap Shooting Club, located at 856 Frankford Road, in Quinte West.  

We are having an open house on June 22, 2024 from 10:00am till 2:00pm.

We are having some local vendors attend.  There will be some demonstration Clay Target Shooting  throughout the day.

There are washrooms on site including a handicap bathroom.

Belleville Public Library's Adult Chess Club is for ages 18 and up. The club meets every second Monday (bi-weekly) at 5:30pm. Craft-Tea – June 25th, 2024 – Sophiasburgh Town Hall or on Zoom

Prince Edward Community Care invites seniors to join staff for an afternoon of crafting and hot tea on Tuesday, June 25th, at 1pm. This is a hybrid event and will be offered both in person at 2771 County Road 5, Demorestville, and on zoom. Community Care has a variety of free craft kits available including sewing, crochet, embroidery, and painting. Community Care's June Curbside Luncheon for Seniors 60+

Curbside pickup meal for seniors, June 27th, 2024 – pick up in Ameliasburgh Town Hall

Prince Edward Community Care holds monthly curbside pick-up of meals. This event is on Thursday, June 27th, 2024, and the pickup location is at the Ameliasburgh Town Hall, 13 Coleman Street, Ameliasburgh. Chef Bill Grieve of Wheelhouse and Occasions catering is preparing a scrumptious meal. The meal includes homemade soup, chicken parmigiana, pasta, vegetables, and fruit pie for dessert. The cost is $20.00/meal and seniors 60+ can order by calling the Community Care office at 613-476-7493. All meals must be paid for in advance. Meals will be packaged hot and ready to be picked up at the Amealiasburgh Town Hall. Only those who preorder and pay will be served. To order, or for more information, call 613-476-7493. Delivery can be arranged for seniors who require it. Orders will be taken until Monday, June 24th, 2024. www.communitycareforseniors.org
