Prince Edward Community Care invites seniors to join staff for an afternoon of board games on Thursday, August 1st, at 1pm. This event will be held at 74A King Street, Picton. Community Care has a variety of games to play including chess, checkers, cards, and more. Seniors 60+ are invited to get active, make friends, be well!  Prince Edward Community Care offers over 50 online events each month for seniors 60+. Online Zoom fitness and arts classes along with socials are held Monday to Friday. In August, the Zoom webinar topics include “Introduction to Reiki” with Karen E. Williams, Reiki Master Teacher and Practitioner; “Eldercare Essentials: Can I be a caregiver and thrive?” with Karen Fuller; “Hybrid Bingo” with Community Care staff; and “Licence Renewal for Seniors” with Lisa Lapierre, Regional Coordinator Ontario Ministry of Transportation, East Region. Community Care's August Curbside Luncheon for Seniors 60+

Curbside pick up meal, August 22nd, 2024 – Hillier Town Hall

Prince Edward Community Care holds monthly curbside pick-up of meals. This event is on Thursday, August 22nd, 2024, and the pickup location is at the Hillier Town Hall, 18650 Loyalist Parkway, Hillier. Chef Bill Grieve of Wheelhouse and Occasions catering is preparing a scrumptious meal. The meal includes homemade soup, roast loin of pork, potatoes, vegetables, and fruit pie for dessert. The cost is $20.00/meal and seniors 60+ can order by calling the Community Care office at 613-476-7493. All meals must be paid for in advance. Meals will be packaged hot and ready to be picked up at the Hillier Town Hall. Only those who preorder and pay will be served. To order, or for more information, call 613-476-7493. Delivery can be arranged for seniors who require it. Orders will be taken until Monday, August 19th, 2024. www.communitycareforseniors.org
