Michael Chong's Post Election Celebration
The Wellington-Halton Hills riding is a conservative strong hold, so MP Michael Chong had another dominant victory last night, and reporter Doug Glazebrook had great access to one of the stars of the conservative party.
Sima Acan's Post Election Celebration
Oakville West was indeed the wild, wild west for last night's election with MP Pam Damoff stepping down, there was no incumbent. Two new candidates were featured on the ballot for the Conservatives and Liberal party putting the riding well within reach for either. But ultimately the region went the way of the country with a Liberal victory, and Oakville welcomes in MP-elect Sima Acan with 52.7 percent of the vote. Nikki Wesley was there to capture the excitement of this first time winner.
Adam Van Koeverden's Post Election Celebration
To North Halton now, in the new riding of Burlington-North Milton-West... this is where we find Milton incumbent Adam Van Koeverden. Adam has run in the Milton riding twice, and both times managed over 50% of the vote... and thus history repeated last night, over 50% and another victory. Devan Murugan reports.

In Oakville 16 Mile Creek became the new boundary division of the town. The Oakville East riding was hotly contested between incumbent Anita Anand and Conservative candidate Ron Chhinzer. The former Toronto Police investigator seemed to cut through with his tough on crime stance but ultimately, the experience of Anita Anand led her to another victory. Jessica Kaitting was there to capture MP Anand's victory.

Within this diverse landscape, the government has officially designated 144 occupations as skilled trades, covering industries such as mechanical, electrical, automotive and manufacturing, among others. Skills Ontario is a government funded organization dedicated to promoting skilled trades and technologies in Ontario. Jason Agnew spoke with CEO Ian Howcroft and asked if advancements in technology has allowed the government to broaden the definition of what is designated as a skilled trade.
