A recognizable part of the Burlington landscape is now a little safer for athletes. Thousands compete at the trio of domes near Fairview and Appleby Line every weekend in a variety of sports. Grant money from the Ontario Trillium Foundation helped fund a new surface in one of the domes making it safer and more comfortable for everyone. There was a bit of a gathering over the weekend to mark the occasion, although the official ceremony was postponed

It's the final mayor Monday or 2025, and this morning it was Halton Hills mayor Ann Lawlor stepping behind the mic to chat. At the final council meeting of 2025, residents shared their concerns about the way provincial decisions are changing the way growth and development happens... in particular there have been freezes put on some developments on land near the future 413 route... Arthouse is a charitable organization that provides free arts-based programs for youth aged 7-17 who may not have access to extracurricular activities otherwise.
