Crawford Lake Earth Week

Walk with a Doc Initiative
A world-wide initiative to help everyone lean into a healthier lifestyle is celebrating its first anniversary in Oakville. "Walk with a Doc" began in Ohio, in 2005, and is now available in over 500 countries. The Oakville chapter meets once a month to chat about a particular topic and go for a stroll.
Terry Fox Run Kick-Off Breakfast
Oakville North Burlington MP Pam Damoff is the chair of the Oakville Terry Fox run and has been a proud supporter & organizer for over 25 years. Although the annual run takes place in the fall, registration begins now! Jessica Kaitting was able to join this year's kick-off breakfast yesterday to learn what advances have been made in cancer research and treatments that have been made possible thanks to the money raised through these Terry Fox runs.
Atura Power CEO Tom Patterson on the Electricity Revolution
Atura Power owns and operates Ontario's largest fleet of natural gas powered electricity generating stations, including the Halton Hills generating station. Yesterday during the Oakville Chamber of Commerce's insight speaker series, CEO Tom Patterson spoke about the electricity revolution and how they're preparing for the future. Burlington community robotics
When the MM Rambotics, first robotics team shut down at the end of the 2023/2024 school year, only two high school first robotics competition teams remained in Burlington. As a result, this year students from six high schools were not given the option to participate in this stem learning opportunity at school. Burlington community robotics was created to provide that chance, Nikki Wesley explains.
