The Burlington Bayhawks hosted their fourth annual "Pawthers Day" doubleheader this weekend and it was a chance for both the men and women to get themselves out of the doghouse, let's see how they did.

With Milton Ward 1 town councillor Kristina Tesser Derksen now the MP for the new riding of Milton East - Halton Hills South, there is a vacant spot on Milton council, and the town has opted for a by-election which has the potential of costing the town up to 200-thousand dollars. Jason Agnew started his monthly chat with Milton Mayor Gord Krantz asking why council opted for this option as opposed to appointing a councillor.

From purple pom pom's to bouncing castles, this weekend's Halton Down Syndrome Walk looked like a celebration--and it was. But beneath the fun was a powerful message: every person deserves to be included, supported and seen. The walk is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the HDSA. A rising trend amongst high school students, and teens in general, is causing the Halton District School Board to approach the issue head-on. Statistics show that the number of students who vape increases from grade 8 through grade 12 and studies show multiple negative health implications from the habit.
