New Appleby Library Branch Opening
The Burlington Public Library first opened a branch in south east Burlington in 1965, the skyway branch. In 1971, as the neighbourhood grew it relocated closer to the intersection of Appleby line and New street and was renamed the New Appleby Library, in case you ever wondered why it was called New Appleby. It then moved to it's most recent location at the Appleview plaza... the new New Appleby branch. But today the new new New Appleby branch opened it's doors and Nikki Wesley explains.
