Racing Against Drugs
Grade 4 and 5 students across Muskoka had the opportunity to learn about the effects and consequences of Alcohol and Drugs at the Racing Against Drugs event in Bracebridge.
Hoya Robotics Training Camp
Some students from Huntsville High School have organized a robotics training camp over a 3 day period, at Camp Big Canoe in Bracebridge, to get some insight into creating robots and to get them ready for competition.
Kids and Seniors Learning and Playing
Canadore College West Parry Sound Campus has partnered with Parry Sound Public School to offer a program that aims to help enhance the social, mental and physical health of seniors. There are 10 sessions in total and registration is still open. The cost is free and you can register by calling 705-746-9222 or online at the Canadore College website.

Parry Sound holding referendum on fluoride this municipal election
The Town of Parry Sound will ask residents to vote for or against fluoride, while voting for their next mayor and council on Oct. 22.
Table Men's Shelter to reopen in November
The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation has received enough funding to re-open the Table Men's Shelter in Huntsville. They are currently looking for volunteers and future employees to help run the shelter. For more information at details, go to the Table Soup Kitchen Foundation's website.
