Community Crew has a New Home
Community Crew currently provides over 4,000 healthy lunches each week to children in 30 different schools throughout the Niagara Region. The City of Niagara Falls Commemorates National Day For Truth & Reconciliation
To mark the National Day For Truth & Reconciliation, the City of Niagara Falls raised the “Every Child Matters Flag” and lowered it to half-staff, as well as held a special unveiling of an orange bench donated by the City’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Niagara Parks Hosts Panel Unveiling Ceremony in Honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
On Friday, in honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Niagara Parks hosted a ceremony to unveil a new interpretive panel that has been installed on the grounds of the Niagara Parks Power Station.
The new interpretive panel commemorates the events that took place at the site in 2022, including the historic meeting of Orange Shirt Day Founder and residential school survivor Phyllis Webstad and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a sunrise ceremony held on the grounds of the Niagara Parks Power Station.
Truth and Reconciliation Walk
The Welland Downtown BIA partnered with the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre to hold a Truth and Reconciliation Walk through downtown Welland.
