Acclaimed Canadian political cartoonist Terry Mosher (Aislin)
Born in Ottawa and educated in Montreal, Toronto, and Quebec City, Mosher graduated from the École des Beaux-arts in 1967. He rose to prominence as the official cartoonist for The Montreal Star and later The Montreal Gazette, producing more than 13,000 editorial cartoons over a career spanning five decades.
Aislin is widely recognized as one of Canada’s most influential cartoonists, with numerous honours including induction into the Canadian News Hall of Fame and appointment as an Officer of the Order of Canada.
Mosher will be at Martello Alley to present and sign copies of his new book, Jean Drapeau’s Baby, a visual memoir of the Montreal Olympic Games. The visit coincides with the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Montreal Olympics, being marked in 2026.
