Milton's Salvation Army Kettles
A time honoured tradition kicked off in milton this weekend. Salvation army kettles popped up around the city as they do every Christmas season since 1891. Nikki Wesley spoke with salvation army captain to find out what the kettles are all about.
Santa Claus Visits NORAD
Santa's upcoming sleigh ride is clearly going to have plenty of security as Canada and the US are working together under NORAD to ensure the big man in red gets all his gifts delivered on time. Santa even stopped by NORAD operations in North Bay to ensure staff was up to snuff, but of course he brought plenty of holly and jolly to the crew as well.
Victoria Mboko Receives Key To Burlington
Burlington is celebrating a home-grown athlete who's quickly rising to an elite level. Tennis phenom Victoria Mboko was presented with the key to the city last Friday during a ceremony that included many dignitaries and additional honours. In 2025 she rose more than 300 places in the world tennis rankings to become a household name – most notably winning the national bank open in Montreal.

This morning Jason Agnew chatted with Halton Hills Mayor Ann Lawlor about the upcoming budget, but first has to ask about this week of stranger danger.

JJ Dance Arts' Performance of Light Heavy Light
November is Children's Grief Awareness Month, and for the 8th year in a row JJ Dance Arts are bringing their performance of Light Heavy Light to the Burlington Performing Arts Centre on November 23rd and 24th. OMHS Receives Grant to Help Their Behaviour in Training Program
The Oakville and Milton Humane Society is in its second year of a program to help dogs experiencing behavioural issues. It started last year with the receipt of a 10 thousand dollar grant from the Pedigree Foundation. The same organization awarded the OMHS another 10 thousand dollar grant this year and that money is going into phase two of the "behaviour in training" program.
Oakville Teacher Kevin Carter Receives Prime Minister Award
Seven Ontario teachers were recipients of the 2025 Prime Minister Awards for Teaching Excellence in STEM, including two teachers from Oakville. Aaron Warner of St. Mildreds Lightbourn School, and Kevin Carter, whose presentation we were able to attend at Brookdale Public School, Jessica Kaitting reports.
