MAHC receives close to $1-million from Ontario government
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is one 128 hospitals across Ontario receiving funding from the government to do some facility and infrastructure upgrades.
A model of the Ottawa Arnprior Railway
A Parry Sound resident donates his model of the Ottawa Arnprior Railway to the Museum on Tower Hill. The museum is looking to raise funds to help put the pieces together and display in one of their galleries. Floating Snowmobile Bridge
In the winter months part of the Muskoka River in Bracebridge closes to allow snowmobilers to cross on a floating bridge. Here's more on that.
The OPP will have eyes in the sky to help kids get to school safe
The Ontario Provincial Police will be using helicopter patrol in an effort to crack down on the number of incidents where drivers are not stopping for school buses. The program is aimed at helping front line officers in Orillia and Bracebridge catch these passing drivers.

Local author publishes children's book about anxiety
Christine Fishman's Sweet Honey Kisses For An Anxious Bear is a book aimed at giving children a better understanding about anxiety and some tools they can use to cope.
