Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is working to develop our next strategic plan to guide the organization for the next three years and wants your input to help shape our short-term direction and priorities. Members of the public are encouraged to share their voice by completing the online survey here.
A District Discussion
The Ontario government is currently reviewing regional governments including The District of Muskoka. Anthony had district chair John Klinck, Huntsville mayor Scott Aitchison and Evelyn Brown of One Muskoka in studio on Feb. 4 to discuss this review.
Mental Health and Wellness
Jan. 21 is unofficially considered Blue Monday and in this episode Anthony wanted to focus on mental health and wellness and how we are impacted locally. He also touches on youth mental health. Guests include, Desiree Reisenburg from the Canadian Mental Health Association Muskoka Parry Sound, counsellor and clinical hypnotherapist Warren Broad, Sonya Vellenga with the Trillium Lakelands District School Board and psychotherapist Graham Thompson.
Alzheimer's Awareness Month
January is Alzheimer's Awareness Month. On the Jan. 14 episode, Anthony spoke with the Karen Quemby and Mike Provan with the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka. He also had Bill Corrigan on the show to talk about his experience with having early onset dementia.
Making Sense of Resolutions

Local food co-op setting up workshops for new food guide
