The always popular Market for Africa is being held on Saturday, November 4th at Crossroads United Church, Sir John A MacDonald Blvd from 9:00a.m. -2:00p.m. At this market you will find beautiful African baskets, sewing, knitting, Christmas items, pre- loved jewellery and pre-loved women’s fall clothing, sand glass creations, eco products, art, nature cards and so much more! Shop and stay for coffee and cookies. All money raised goes to the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign and Help Lesotho. These programs support grandmothers in Africa caring for their grandchildren orphaned by the AIDS pandemic. Join us for the 85th Annual Port Hope United Church Christmas Fayre on Saturday November 18, 2023 from 10am to 1pm.  We will offer a wonderful selection of homemade baking, preserves, delicatessen foods, as well as handmade crafts, knitting and seasonal decor for your home or gifting. This event is wheel chair accessible, with free admission and parking. Cash only, sorry no debit or credit. All are welcome!

Visit Silver Spire’s famous Silver Bells Bazaar on Saturday, November 4th, 10:00am-2:00pm. You will find something for everyone! Delicious baking, jams, jellies, relishes, deli items and more. There is a variety of beautiful gift baskets wrapped and ready to give. Visit the Treasure Room for china, crystal, silver, jewelry, linens, Christmas décor, sculptures, pictures, and more home décor. Make your way to the Spire Room for crafts, handmade items, mitts, hats, decorative pillows, cotton dish cloths, decorator towels, wreaths, beautiful gifts, and more. You will even find toys and set of golf clubs. And to recharge your batteries, enjoy some tea, coffee and a muffin with your friends. Free parking in the lot behind the church and on St. Paul St.. We accept cash, debit and credit. Help us retire our 62 year-old boiler, lovingly called Chugger, and replace him with a new, more energy-efficient system.

Open House Oct 16-21, 2023

Please join us during our annual Open House from October 16 to the 21st. Monday through Saturday our afternoon hours are 1:00 to 3:00. Monday through Friday our evening hours are 6:30 to 8:30.

This is an excellent time for registered members to throw a few rocks and get ready for the season. For prospective new curlers, complimentary instructors will provide information, answer your questions and will lead an on-ice session to experience our great game. You need only bring clean athletic shoes and warm loose clothing.
