Would you like to prevent diabetes? Or have you recently been diagnosed with prediabetes or diabetes? Do you want a review of the basics? This workshop includes a discussion of the basic facts about managing diabetes, healthy eating, and physical activity. We encourage people to bring a friend/family member for support.

This free course will provide youth ages 10-14 with the skills and knowledge that will assist them in being confident about staying home alone. Through interactive games and activities participants will learn about how to stay safe in various situations and what to do in case of an emergency.

The program uses a hands-on approach. Students learn by participating in workshops, playing games, and sharing experiences, while Tri-County Literacy Council offers its expertise in literacy and links with community partners. Money is a serious matter but learning about it can be fun.
