Halton Food for Thought (HFFT) is pleased to announce the 15th Annual Breakfast Bash on Tuesday, May 27, at the Oakville Conference Centre. The event will be hosted once again by Halton resident and long-time supporter of HFFT – Rick Campanelli. 

The Breakfast Bash helps raise the funding required to ensure Halton Student Nutrition Programs remain strong and sustainable while celebrating the 2024/25 school year with our school board and school partners, volunteers and community partners. The Bash’s goal is to raise $95,000 to support Student Nutrition Programs in Halton. Achieving that target will help ensure over 95,000 students across Halton in 152 schools continue to have access to healthy, nutritious food at school. 

Guests get to participate in HFFT’s unique breakfast Marketplace, enjoying delicious breakfast options from our Marketplace Vendors from restaurants across Halton such as Joe Dog’s Gasbar Grill, Oakville Conference Centre, Harpers Landing, Martini House, Appleby College, Rust Bistrobar, Pur & Simple Burlington North, Mary's Muffins and St. Ignatius of Loyola CSS who are bringing the blender bikes to make delicious smoothies! 

The Breakfast Bash is a wonderful morning where more than 400 supporters of Student Nutrition Programs gather to share stories of inspiration, celebrate milestones, and where HFFT gets to recognition of all those who help make these programs happen. 

The event is open to the public with the purchase of a ticket. Whether you are an avid hiker or simply looking for a way to get involved, this event has something for everyone. This year, there will be three route options, including the Hydro Corridor, with the longest route being 5 km. Additionally, there will be face painting, games, snacks, and music. Starbucks will be there to provide delicious morning fuel.

We are pleased to announce that after a brief hiatus from our Annual Charity BBQs (paused due to Covid), we will be reverting back from the Charity Raffles to our larger events. On June 7th, 2025, we will host our 11th Annual Charity BBQ @ Dr. Surya & Associates. We are firm believers of giving back to our communities and it is our mission to give back as much as possible this year.
