Countering Cyberhate 101 Free, Virtual Workshop

The Niagara Local Immigration Partnership (Niagara LIP), with funding by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), is pleased to offer a free, virtual workshop-Countering Cyberhate 101.
The workshop will be facilitated by the Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 10 am to 12 pm, Capacity is limited to 50.

The Countering Cyberhate 1O1 Virtual Workshop aims to empower racialized women and girls to better understand online hate speech and extremism, including counter speech and counter-narrative. With the incorporation of real-life examples, alongside live discussions on effective strategies to counter online hate, participants will have an increased capacity to recognize online hate and build the required skills and resources to counter cyberhate speech and narratives effectively.
