June is ALS Awareness month in Canada and this past Saturday close to 300 came out to Lock 3 in St. Catharines to participate in the walk to end ALS.

The Niagara SPCA & Humane Society, in collaboration with PetSmart Charities of Canada, organized a four-day tent event this past weekend at PetSmart in Niagara Falls to promote the adoption of dogs and cats seeking their forever homes.

The Niagara Children’s Centre recently held a celebration marking the successful conclusion of the 21st annual Help Kids Shine fundraising campaign. During the event, the organization was poised to announce that they have exceeded the $350,000 campaign goal, surpassing last year’s record of $325,487.
